Dedication of Dreamer’s Fountain to “Have a Dream” of Boulder County
Longmont, CO (Mar. 28, 2016) – Village at the Peaks continues to celebrate a series of store openings and community events as the project continues to come to life.
“The Village at the Peaks is quickly becoming the go-to location for dining, entertainment and community events,” said Allen Ginsborg, Managing Director and Principal, NewMark Merrill Mountain States. “As the weather warms and merchants continue to open, more and more families and their friends are enjoying our community spaces and coming to our events”.
March welcomed the openings of five retailers; Allure Nail Bar, Brain Balance of Longmont, Parry’s Pizzeria & Bar, Spavia and Verizon Wireless. “The Village at the Peaks is a hub of retail and restaurants designed to support the needs of local families,” said Matt Selcke Co-Owner Brain Balance of Longmont. “We feel it’s an incredible convenient location for our future customers who will have three, one-hour long blocks to run errands in the area while their child attends Brain Balance sessions,” continued Selcke.
Community Event Calendar
“We built this property with the community in mind,” said Ginsborg. “We wanted to create a place that was conducive to gatherings and celebrations. Our children’s play area in our South Village area is the fruition of this vision. We have swings, a play structure, interactive instruments and water features for the community to enjoy”.
To celebrate the completion of this amenity the Village at the Peaks is hosting a Children’s Play Area Celebration and Dedication event Saturday, Apr. 2. 10 am- 2pm. The event will feature; ribbon cutting with the Longmont Chamber of Commerce, live music performance from area youth, rock climbing wall, mountain bike course, face-painting, crafts and the dedication of the water features to “I Have a Dream” of Boulder County.
“‘I Have a Dream’ of Boulder County is a longtime partner of Newmark Merrill Mountain States,” said Ginsborg, “We think that the lasting impact that “I Have a Dream” has on the youth they serve leaves a measurable positive impact in their lives and in their family’s lives. We are proud to dedicate all of the coins that are thrown in the fountain to them in perpetuity to assist in their on-going fundraising efforts,”.
“We are so honored to be a part of this fountain dedication in the children’s area and to be the recipient of coins that will be thrown in the fountain,” said Lori Canova, CEO for “I Have a Dream” of Boulder County. “Those funds will help make educational dreams come true for children from low-income backgrounds right here in Longmont,” continued Canova. “I Have a Dream” of Boulder County currently has two classes of “Dreamers” in Longmont and is in a final fundraising effort for a third class.
